John J. Powers, Jr. January 26th, 2020 John J. Powers, Jr, age 38, formerly of Syracuse NY, died suddenly in Colorado. He was a talented artist, musician and performer. He attended Westhill High School. He leaves behind his mother, Della Jastrzab (Ted), his father John of Colorado, his sisters Angela DePalma of NJ, Amanda Velez, Alicia Howell and Amber Howell of Syracuse, Grandparents Ed and Betty Warner of Bridgeport, Leona Woods (Chip) of Vermont, and Leroy Powers (Charlene) of Auburn. His aunt Penny Schultz of Cleveland, Uncles Tim Powers (Suzanne) of MI and Jerry Centrone of Syracuse. Cousins Joe'l Reming (Kevin), Olivia, Taylor and Zak Schultz, Emily Razzone, and many other cousins, aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his grandfather Donald Knight, his Uncles Brett Warner and Albert Powers, and his Aunt Mikki Centrone. A memorial service will be held at the Vineyard Church in Lakeland from 11-3:00 on Friday February 7th. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude's Childrerns Research Hospital. Absent from the body but present with the Lord Jesus.
