Robert James Vigil

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness

that we announce the passing of our

beloved Robert James Vigil. He went

home to be with the Lord on February

13, 2023, at the age of 55. Robert was

born in Santa Fe, NM on November 25,

1967. He was preceded in death by his

father Sevedeo Alexander Vigil and his

very special niece Diane Martinez.

Robert is survived by his Mother, Helena

Vigil; his son, Sebastian Vigil

(Valencia); his sisters Deborah

Lichtenwalter, Angie Vigil, Rosemary

Baker (Stuart), and Dolores Vigil; his

brothers Steve Vigil and Rick Vigil

(Inna); and many nieces, nephews, and

other relatives. He is also survived by his

dear partner Summer Goodman.

Robert was the youngest of seven

children. He was a father, son, brother,

uncle, cousin, stepfather to Summer’s

two boys, and grandfather to their

children.

Robert was a tremendously kind soul. He

shared his expansive kindness with

everyone he met, and he was a cherished

relative and wonderful friend. For most

of his life, Robert was an entrepreneur. It

all started when he was in first grade and

sold his school pictures that year for a

quarter! Further, music was Robert’s

passion. He was a phenomenal singer and

performed in a rock band in Denver, CO,

where he lived for over twenty years.

Robert constantly had a grin on his face,

and you never knew what was going on

through his head. He loved to laugh, and

what an infectious laugh he had!

Robert was loved by so many, and he

will be very deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at

Calvary Chapel, 6051 Winter Haven Rd.,

NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120 on

Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.

A reception will follow at the church.
