George Dean Meyer, 86, of Golden, Co., passed away on Feb. 8, 2023. He was born in Greeley to George and Alice Meyer on July 31, 1936.

George married Ruby King on Sept 11, 1960, in Greeley.

George (his friends and family called him Dean) graduated from Greeley High School. George worked for Coors Brewery in Golden for 30 years. He loved the Denver Broncos and had a passion for fishing in the mountains. He loved jogging and ran almost every day. He completed the San Francisco Marathon and was a torchbearer for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics torch relay. Glenwood Springs and Las Vegas were his favorite vacation spots. He routinely took trips to Southern California to visit his grandchildren.

George is survived by his wife, Ruby; daughter, Kathy Hachlica (Dave) of Rensselaer, Indiana; Son, David (Stephanie) of Seal Beach, CA; three grandchildren (Cal, Duke & Jack); also survived by sisters, Pat Bruce of Brighton and Janet (Jim) Kiefer of Brighton.
