James (Jim) Edward Hoffman Jr.
James (Jim) Edward Hoffman Jr., 50, of Frederick, CO, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
Jim was born in Superior, WI, and grew up in Yuma, AZ. After graduating from high school, Jim joined the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence Analyst and served 7 years including a tour in the Middle East during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He met his wife Janine while later stationed on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
During his full-time active-duty service, Jim went to college in the evenings and earned his Business and Accounting degree, Summa Cum Laude, at the Hawaii Pacific University. After his military service, he began his civilian career and eventually moved to Frederick, CO, where he lived for the last 20 years, becoming a successful accountant, CPA, and later a CFO for several Colorado companies.
Jim’s kind heart and sense of humor brought a smile to the faces of those who knew him well or just met him for the first time. He loved football and when not cheering for his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers, he and Janine enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad, as well as scuba diving in the Caribbean and Florida. Jim loved animals and enjoyed spending time at home with his wife and their pets. He also loved the great outdoors and Colorado mountains, and loved hiking, biking and snowshoeing.
Jim is survived by his wife Janine; father, James Edward Hoffman Sr. and wife Judy; mother, Cindy Stewart and husband Mike; brother Ryan and wife Denise; sister Sabrina Duna and husband Adam; sister Michele Boyea, and several nieces and nephews.
