Tamara Lynn Ogden, “Tammie”

Tamara Lynn Ogden, “Tammie”

Tammie Ogden passed away peacefully on the morning of May 30, 2021.  Tammie was born on June 14th, 1960 and was raised in Northglenn, Colorado.  She was a 1979 Graduate of Thornton High School where she starred in the Leading Role of Nellie Forbush in the musical South Pacific. Tammie worked in purchasing at Storage Technology Corporation, and then went on to the Aerospace Field. She was the Procurement Expeditor Manager at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at CU Boulder.  Tammie was a hard worker, a true friend, and always had an amazing bright outlook on life that was contagious to all who knew her.

T.O. loved softball, volleyball, dancing, travel and spending time with her friends and family. She always wanted people to have “too much fun” and she was often the center of the fun herself.  Her friends said that Tammie had the ability to make you laugh even when the idea of laughter had escaped you. She was the most loving and caring friend and Aunt.  She loved to share the joy she had for her nieces and nephew posting her “BRAG ALERT! BRAG ALERT!” for all to enjoy.  She cared about others even when she was not well herself. She was the one person you could share your most intimate secrets of your life and never have to worry about those secrets being repeated.  Tammie enjoyed every day of her life and made sure all that knew her did as well.

Tammie was the daughter of Jimmie Lee Ogden and Ruth Bille Ogden (both deceased). The older sister of Scott L. Ogden (Lorraine) and Jimmie N. Ogden (Yvonne). The Aunt of Stephanie (Stephanie & Paul Dack of Morrison, CO), Lynsie (Lynsie & Bradley Izzard of Oklahoma City, OK), Daniel Ogden (Josh Blair) of Arvada, CO, and Jimmie Dallas Ogden (Jimmie & Madeline Ogden of Boise, ID). Tammie was very active in her nieces and nephew’s lives, and help shape their outlook on life as well.

Tammie also had a very strong group of friends, and she loved to travel to see the world with them, party with them, and just be with them every chance she got. Tammie’s biggest joy was making others happy.  Tammie packed more fun, adventure, joy, and love in her sixty years than most could in 10 lifetimes.  Tammie was the epitome of a life well lived!

Tammie was a beautiful soul, a beautiful person, and someone who taught us all the importance of love, friendship, and family. Tammie’s heart was so beautiful and pure, and her spirit shown so bright! Tammie will forever live in the hearts of her friends and family.
