William (“Willis”) Flint Hamilton, Denver chef and avid skater, passed away on May 9 th , 2020 at the age of 26. Born June 27, 1993 in Tavares, Florida, William attended McInnis Elementary School in DeLeon Springs, Florida, and T. Dewitt Taylor Middle School in Pierson, Florida. He graduated with honors at the age of 17 from Florida Youth Challenge Academy in Starke, Florida in 2010. He was a member of St. Hubert of the Forest Catholic Mission in Astor, Florida, where he was an altar-server and member of the choir. William enjoyed playing drums with his 4-H group band. He loved books and was a voracious reader, especially J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. William was a soulful person whose passions included skateboarding, Japanese culture and cuisine, video games and music. He would often sing while he worked. William loved to cook, and dreamed of becoming a chef from the time he was a young boy. He was inspired by the beauty of Colorado’s stunning landscapes. William is survived by his parents, Steven Hamilton and Kimberly Flint-Hamilton of Potsdam, NY. He is deeply loved and missed by his family and friends.
