David Michael Rubesne

It is with profound sadness that the family of David Michael Rubesne announce that he passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2020.

David will be forever remembered and loved by his wife, Karen, his children Bobby and his partner, Danyelle, Katie and her husband Shaun,  Sarah and her husband Julian, Amber and her partner Heather, and James; stepdaughter Ashley; Eight wonderful grandchildren: Jayden, Hailey, Sydney, Braeden, Max, Rylie, Brynlee, and Teghan; his Mother, Nancy, as well as his Sisters Tracy and Shannon;  Nephews Garrett, Danny, and Shawn; Nieces Margaret and her husband Jacob, Shanika and Jamilyn; and numerous extended family and friends that will miss him every day.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert.

David was a proud Colorado Native born January 26, 1960. He was a graduate of Colorado State University. 

David loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and just “being” in nature.  He was a devoted fan of Colorado sports, including the Avalanche, Broncos, Rockies and of course his alma mater CSU.

His true passion, however was his family. He sincerely loved making memories with his children and grandchildren and it brought him great joy that they loved going camping, traveling and just hanging out with him.  His favorite thing was sharing his love of sports with the next generation of Rubesne children and they were all being raised to be true fans just like their Grandpa.

David was kind, thoughtful, and had an unending willingness and desire to help others.  He welcomed everyone with open arms and was a strong loving role model for all that knew him.

Please join the family in celebrating David’s life on Saturday, March 14th at 1:00 pm at Conifer Community Church, 9998 Havecost Rd, Conifer, CO  80433.  A reception will follow at SnowPack Taproom at 11863 Springs Rd #210, Conifer, CO 80433.
