Mark Anthony Dike, age 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29th, at Colorado University Hospital.
He was born September 14, 1962, in Denver, Colorado, to Ernest Mark Dike and Lorraine Myers Dike. He married Kathy Sanford on January 23, 1982, in Westminster, Colorado.
Mark was a man of many talents. He was a painter by trade but was also an excellent welder and carpenter. He and his cousin finished his basement, including a bathroom, and he most recently re-finished the kitchen with new cabinets and countertops. He took great pride in his work.
Mark truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, fishing, and spending time with his beloved pets.
He is survived by his mother Lorraine Kuhlman, wife Kathy Sanford, sons Zechariah Dike and Kaleb Dike, daughter Sunny (Juan Vasquez) Sanford, brothers Mike Dike and Steven Dike, sisters Elizabeth (Bob) Smith, Shauna McCullough, and Deidra (James) Bell, granddaughter Adora Vasquez, nephew Key Smith and many cousins.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Mark touched are invited to a celebration of life at First United Methodist Church of Lafayette, 1255 Centaur Village Drive, Lafayette, Colorado, at 2:00PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019, with a reception to follow at Dillinger’s Food and Spirits, 1202 Centaur Village Drive, Lafayette, CO.
