Bonnie Frances (Nieto) Rivera, 70, earned her angel wings when she passed on February 12, 2019.
Bonnie was born to Alfred and Frances Nieto on May 14, 1948, in Denver, Colorado. From a young age, Bonnie was known for her beautiful eyes and loving heart. Bonnie’s sense of humor and smile lit up any room but don't let that fool you, she was also tough. Bonnie was known for defending anyone she loved.
Bonnie met her husband, Joe Rivera when she was 16 years old. Soon after they married in California and went on to have four children, Justine (Punkin), twins, Felix and Joleen, and Jose.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Bonnie loved the Lord first. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with all those who surrounded her. Bonnie was known for being a ‘soldier of God’ and stood up to the toughest gangs in LA. Bonnie and Joe led Bible studies in both California and Colorado for many years. Bonnie proudly devoted her life to being a prayer warrior mentoring anyone she could.
Bonnie was reunited with her husband, Joe, daughter, Justine (Punkin), her parents, Alfred, and Frances, and siblings, Gloria, Arlene, and Sandra in Heaven. She is survived by her siblings, Mary (Cleo) and Alex (Carlos), her children, Felix (Monisa), Joleen (Allen), and Jose (Amber), her grandchildren, Matthew, Justine, Jose, Isaac, Destiny, Felix, Vincent, Gabriel and Jaycilyn, and her great-grandchildren, Lola and Noah. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
