Catherine Ann McKee (Pokryfke), age 49, unfortunately passed away in her home on December 19th, 2019.
Cathy was born at Swedish medical center in Englewood, Colorado on February 25th, 1970 to Thomas and Joyce Pokryfke. She grew up in Lafayette, Co. She graduated Centaurs High School in 1989, and met Steve McKee in 1986. Steve and Cathy got married in 1994, that same year they welcomed their first child Blake Austin McKee on October 19th 1994. And in 1997 they welcomed their second child. Brooke Lee McKee on March 19th, 1997. Cathy was a stay at home mom, and she loved it.
They lived with Cathy's mom, Joyce in Lafayette. Cathy and Steve raised their children together until 2009, where they went their separate ways. Cathy stayed in the home with her mother and children. After Brooke's graduation in 2015, Cathy, Joyce and Brooke moved to old town Lafayette. Cathy loved the big yard where she spent most of her time gardening with her neighbor Becky. She was very happy in the new place and was very proud of her two children.
Cathy is survived by her son Blake (Brianna) McKee of Jacksonville, NC, daughter Brooke (Nate Robinson) McKee of Denver, CO, mother Joyce Pokryfke of Boulder, CO, father Tom (Diane) Pokryfke of Highlands Ranch, CO, oldest brother Kieth Pokryfke of Westminister, CO, younger brother Brent (Chelsea) Pokryfke of Brighton, CO, younger brother Patrick Pokryfke of Highlands Ranch, CO. Cathy joins her brother Tommy.
A memorial service will be held on December 28th, 2019. At Lafayette Public library in the large conference room at 11. The address is 775 Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO, 80026. There will be a service and refreshments after.
