She worked as a safety inspector for Hewlett-Packard for over 25 years and raised her children single-handedly with fierce dedication. For several years, she volunteered at domestic violence shelters, often providing shelter for homeless friends. Carrie loved talking with friends, nature, camping in the mountains, 4-wheeling, and weekends at the VDR racetrack. She leaves behind her beloved partner Wayde, her son, Leon, daughter, Starlyn, her stepdaughters, Shaundelle Vaughn DeLisa and Kalinn Vaughn Harrison, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends. A virtual gathering in celebration of her life will be held on July 31, 2022.
