Brett Hart
On Friday, May 28, 2021, Brett Hart, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away suddenly at the age of 70 years. Brett was born in Chicago, IL on January 4, 1951, to Albert and Agnes Hart, nee Combs. Before the family settled in Colorado, they spent several years stationed in Germany due to his father's military career. Brett was fluent in German as a child & had to learn English upon returning to the states. His only brother Chad was born after returning stateside.
Brett graduated from George Washington HS in Denver, in 1969 & joined the Air Force shortly before the birth of his first daughter Nichelle, that same year. After a few years, he left the military, honorably & became interested in bodybuilding & competing, winning many trophies for his hard work. His love for music drew him to the Minneapolis music scene in the late 70's, where he also attended beauty school to learn the art of hairdressing. His second daughter Tahlia was born shortly after graduating, in 1979. Brett moved back to Colorado where he became the "Colorado Curler" and later started working security for a local Denver department store. After his son B.J. was born in 1983, he moved to St. Louis, where he worked for the Adam's Mark Hotel & pursued his greatest passion of all, Martial Arts. Eventually he made his way back home to Colorado where he taught martial arts with his son & several fitness classes that included kickboxing aerobics. On May 4, 2019 he was promoted to 10th Degree Black Belt. Earning him the title "Grand Master Hart".
Brett had many passions that blessed him with many lifelong friends. He is survived by his brother Chad Hart; 2 daughters, Nichelle Hart and Tahlia (Raymond) Berry; 5 grandchildren, Monique (Terrence) Hart Cooper, Micah Douglas, Calista Costello, Grace Berry and Jaxon Berry. He is preceded in death by his father, his mother and his only son Brett Hart Jr.
