Hach, Mary Katherine Joseph
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Denver, CO. Mary Kay was born on June 21, 1926 in Saginaw, MI. She graduated first in her class from Arthur Hill High School in 1942 and earned a full academic scholarship to Michigan State College (now University), graduating in 1946. She married the love of her life, George A. Hach (deceased 2002) on October 23, 1948. Mary Kay and George were past members of St. Dominic Catholic Parish and the Saginaw Country Club. They enjoyed an active life of travel, entertaining, bridge, tennis, golfing and skiing. She was a member of the Junior League of Saginaw Valley and various community organizations. Surviving are their four children, Stephen (Marty Ames), Martha, John (Elisabet) and Kathryn (Ed Wickham); four grandchildren, Cori (Bryce Daviess), Geoffrey, David (Kelly) and Tyler; two great grandchildren, Angus and Cameron; a special sister-in-law, Martha Ann Joseph and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ruth (Mosteller) Joseph; her brothers, Thomas Joseph and Robert (Mary Lou) Joseph and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Clarence and Elsie (Hach) Marcoux. Mary Kay recently celebrated her 95th birthday with four generations of her family. Her bright smile and pleasant personality were present until the end and will be remembered by all who knew her.
Honoring Mary Kay’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Monday August 30, 2021 at St. Dominic Catholic Parish in Saginaw, MI at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at the church will be from 10:30 a.m. until the start of the service.
