Wall, Judith Yates, “Judy”

Judith Yates Wall, known as "Judy," passed away on April 29th, 2021 at the age of 77 years. She had suffered for many years from Alzheimer’s Disease.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Wendell Wall, daughters Julie (Steven Abner) and Shannon (Mark Mullane), granddaughter Janie Mullane, grandson Jacob Mullane, step- granddaughters Jessica Abner (Mike Young) and Kharis Ducote-Abner, great-granddaughter Hannah, and sisters Susan Kovach Eatman, Jon Yates Rosenau and Jackie Yates White. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason (Monika Rausch), brother Larry and sisters Myra Jane and Laura Sue.

A native of Durant, Florida, Judy was a graduate of Turkey Creek High School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was retired from Management of a large distribution center in California. She and Wendell moved to Westminster, Colorado after retirement to be near their grandchildren.

Judy was a stubborn, fiercely independent, loving, principled woman; a “goody-two-shoes” the likes of which is seldom seen. She held no prejudices. Her motto was LUP, love, understanding and peace.

Before her illness, Judy was an active member of the Porterville, California Zonta International Club. She volunteered in women’s shelters and art museums, and she enjoyed performing in local theater. She was a big fan of Elvis, the giant redwood trees in California and the Rocky Mountains.

Due to the Pandemic, a small private service will be held soon at Kramer Family Funeral Home, 7205 Gilpin Way #130, Denver, CO 80229, with a memorial service to follow later this year at the Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
