Patricia Merriam Martino
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Patricia Merriam Martino announces her passing on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 at the age of 77. Born to her late parents, William and Frances Bailey in Chicago, Illinois. Patricia will be remembered lovingly by her children Nicole and Eric (Katherine) Martino. Patt, also known as Patsy, by her closest friends and surviving sister Allyson Pimentel. She will also be remembered fondly by her grandchildren Macie, Finley, Enzo, her two loyal and fury companions, Kobi and Piper as well as her many nieces and nephews. Patsy was pre-deceased by her brother, Orson “Buddy” Bailey, her sisters Sandy Bailey, Billie Corie and Laurie Schofield.
Patt was a loving dedicated mother who was nothing short of her children’s number one supporter. She never missed a game, concert or opportunity to be the loudest and proudest in the crowd. Patt served her time on Earth as an educator for kids with special needs in addition to making a great impact in many community organizations.
Patsy loved animals, especially dogs and elephants. She was a music and movie fan and could sing every word to every Barry Manilow song ever written. She was the biggest “fanilow”.
Patsy really loved her sports teams. You could hear her sing the Miami Dolphin’s fight song even when they were losing. She loved the Rockies, Cubs and Marlins baseball teams. Patsy forever rooted for the underdog.
Outside of her passion for her children and sports teams, she had a beloved affinity for mystery games, puzzles, candy and chips. Despite her sassy-ness and gritty attitude, her laugh was infectious, and sense of humor was pure.
Hardworking, loving and ever caring, we will always and forever be so grateful for her.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held in Florida. Time and date to be determined.
