Mathew Cassidy

Mathew Cassidy, known to friends as “Mat”, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, at the age of 47 years.

A native of Melbourne, Australia, Mathew grew up in Anaheim, California before moving to Colorado. Mathew graduated from Esperanza High School and attended Fullerton College. He then began his career as a machinist and welder in the corrugated box industry working in his family’s business.

 Mathew will forever be remembered and loved by his son Reagan, mother Rhonda Austin, dad Jim Austin, father Gerry Cassidy, grandmother Joyce Downie, sister Deborah Pabst, step-brother Steve Austin, step-sisters Cindy and Christine Austin, niece Stephanie Pabst and brother-in-law Steve Pabst along with his aunts, uncle and cousins in Australia.

A service of remembrance will be held at Rocky Mountain Christian Church, 5860 Majestic St, Frederick CO 80504 on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 am. Gathering at American Legion Post 1985 to follow
