Gilbert “Jimmy” James Gutierrez

Gilbert “Jimmy” James Gutierrez, 71, of Fort Lupton, CO went home to rest with Jesus on October 10th, 2021 with his wife and children by his side.

He was born on October 22, 1949 in Las Vegas, NM. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Gutierrez, by his three children: Kimberly Diane (Rick) Nakayama, Jimmy Ethan (Shandra) Gutierrez, Keri Ann (Todd) Smith, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is the fifth of ten children, survived by five brothers and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Tonnie Gutierrez, a brother Delfino Edward Gutierrez and a child, Gilbert Moses Gutierrez.

Gilbert was a decorated war veteran with the United States Army. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Bronze Medal and Silver Star.

Services will be at New Creation Church, 737 Bross Street, Longmont, CO 80501 on October 19th, 2021 at 10 o’clock in the morning.
