Demichelis, Robert  "Bobby"

Robert Demichelis, known to friends as "Bobby," passed away on August 23rd, 2020, at the age of 71.

Bobby was born in Chariton, Iowa on October 18th, 1948 to father John Demichelis and mother Alice Demichelis.  He grew up on the farm that his parents owned in Milo, Iowa.  At the early age of 2 years old, he would be seen on the tractor with his father and would often follow him throughout the day. He moved to Arizona when he was 16 years old, and was drafted into the Army to support the Vietnam War at the age of 18.  He served 4 years in the Army and received a medal of honor for his sharpshooting skills.  He was also an avid cook and had the position of Executive Cook.  Bobby had a passion for music and loved the 60's and 70's rock bands from those times.  He had an extensive collection of cassettes that he would listen to and cherish.  He was an entrepreneur and operated his own construction business most of his adult life. 

He is survived by his daughter, Martha Ann Carlson (Milwaukee) and Jennifer Demichelis (Utah), and a son Jason Demichelis (Colorado).  Along with 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  Richard Demichelis (Aurora, CO), Bernard Demichelis (Aurora, CO), Nancy Lopez (Cave Creek, AZ), and Kathy Fischer (Buckeye, AZ).  He is predeceased by his mother and father, John and Alice Demichelis, and his brother Gary Demichelis.  He had two grandchildren.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at Montage Heights for their constant, attentive treatment and care of Bobby during his stay.

A Celebration of Bobby’s life and burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Monday, September 14, at the Fort Logan Memorial Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue, Denver, Colorado  80236.
