Yanez, Theresa

Theresa Yanez, known to friends as “Teri” or “Chupa”, passed away February 1, 2020, at the age of 61 years. Teri will forever be remembered by her precious daughter, Sarah, her grandchildren, Tristan & Isabella and by her sisters, Ninfa Yanez, out of Austin, TX , Cruz Alecca, out of Austin, TX and Angie Brewer, out of Abilene, TX. Teri will also be remembered by her numerous dear friends and extended family. Teri was a woman that enjoyed traveling, dancing, socializing, and singing (even though she always said she couldn’t even sing in the shower). She was a safe place for many, someone anyone could go to for a talk, laugh or just a simple TV show buddy. She was always your number one fan and never judged you for anything, “God doesn’t like ugly.” She often would be playing her oldies R&B soul music while yapping about the good ole days when she was ‘skinny and hot’ with her sisters. Teri was the crazy cat lady everyone knew, from rescuing or feeding the neighborhood cats, she always had room in her heart for anyone that needed love. Teri was a woman of love, always showing kindness to any and everyone. She will be missed very much & her memory will go on. Something Teri always liked to do was going to potlucks, having social hour and creating good memories with ALL her friends and family. And so to honor her most enjoyed past time, we wanted to invite all her friends & family, near and far to join us in the celebration of the wonderful & adventurous life of Teri Yanez. The memorial will be held in Aurora, Colorado, her final resting place. On February 22nd, Saturday @ 1pm-3pm (It will be optional to bring dishes) (Sober event, no alcohol please) Please contact Sarah (208-598-5913) for RSVP & the address for the location.
