Michael will forever be remembered by his wife and best friend Danielle, their two precious daughters, Ella and Mia, by his parents Anne and Dennis Hulm and James and Elizabeth Mateyka. Michael loved to ride motorcycles and was active in the Canyon Riders Association where he was friends with many of his fellow riders. He was with them the day he passed. He was always willing to share safety advice and encouragement to other aspiring motorcycle enthusiasts and enjoyed riding and racing with his club. He loved golfing, skiing, playing softball and the Denver Broncos, but mostly he loved his wife and girls and hanging out with them.
A native of Colorado, Michael was born in Boulder on October 18, 1977 and lived in Colorado as well as Washington State where he met Danielle. They moved back to Colorado in 2013 to be nearer to family. He and Danielle and the girls have been living in Thornton since 2019. Michael attended Centaurus High School in Lafayette and was the Materials Manager at Kindred Hospital in Aurora since 2015.
Michael’s family was very important to him. He will be missed greatly by all who loved him, not just his family but the numerous friends and co-workers whose lives he touched. Due to Covid-19, a Celebration of Michael’s life will be held sometime in the near future. In the meantime, remember Michael as he was a fun, kind and generous man.
