Thursday August 8, 2019, Aime Brown went to her heavenly home rejoicing in the presence of her Lord.
Aime Marie Berry entered this world on June 11, 1971, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Ike and Aime Berry, her proud parents, and two eager siblings, Tom and Charollette, greeted her with smiles. She was named after her mom but affectionately called Snooky right into adulthood. Aime attended Chatfield Elementary in Grand Junction, Colorado, and, shortly after her mother’s death, she and her dad relocated to Montrose, Colorado, close to family where she would graduate from Montrose High in 1989. Continuing her education in Greeley, Colorado, Aime attained a Bachelor’s Degree, with English as her major, at the University of Northern Colorado.
During her teen years, Aime became a daughter to “Mama Linda”, her dad’s second wife. The two remained mother and daughter throughout her life.
In 2001, Aime announced her engagement to a close friend who led youth groups and retreats with her. Ken and Aime became Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brown on April 21, 2001, in Littleton, Colorado. Aime’s new family, the Brown’s, welcomed her with warm hearts and open arms. A little over a year later on July 27, 2002, the beaming couple brought their pride and joy into this world, a little precious gift from God, Natalie.
Aime was employed in various occupations throughout her life and, all the while, battling diabetes, which in the end won.
Aime was preceded in death by her mother Aime Berry. She is survived by her kind, loving husband Ken; her beautiful daughter Natalie; her loving parents Ike and Gail Berry; her kind, caring in-laws Vern and Priscilla Brown; her Mama Linda; her siblings Tom Berry and Charollette Anderson; her brothers-in-law Dick Anderson and Rod Brown; and numerous nephews and nieces. Aime was always surrounded by an abundance of amazing caring friends, all of whom will miss their Snooky.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Calvary Church Englewood, 4881 S. Acoma St., Englewood, CO.
