Jerry W. Lawrence

Jerry W. Lawrence, 78, a longtime resident of Denver, CO passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Thursday, September 15, 2022. 

Services are pending for a private burial at Ohlinger Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Life at Ruby Hill Park in Denver, CO located at sheltered picnic area two between 11 to 2 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022. The family would be honored if you’d join them. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed toward the Lawrence family to help with cost of final services:

Jerry was born November 6, 1943, in Strong, KS to Ernest G. Lawrence and Alma L. Bruce. On September 15, 1969, he was united in marriage to Linda L. Perry. They went on to enjoy 53 years together.

He proudly served in the United States Army and subsequently in the National Guard. Throughout his life he pursued and continued to develop his passion as a jack of all trades in carpentry. He worked for and retired from University of Denver. In retirement, he worked for H&R Block during the tax season and kept himself busy with family along with various carpentry projects which brought him great joy. While retired, he would simply find something to do.

Throughout his life he was always willing to help and share his knowledge with others. He exuded great passion along with being a determined and headstrong individual.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda L. Lawrence; 4 children: David Lawrence, Stephanie (William) Ward, Ellen Lawrence Cumber, Perry (Marie) Lawrence; 4 siblings: John Lawrence, Dennis Lawrence, Ronnie Lawrence, and Linda Burton; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild child with an additional one on the way including other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bruce Lawrence and Rose Burton.

He will be missed by family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
