Tyler Vesti Martinson
Tyler Vesti Martinson, 39, of Parker, Colorado, died on July 11, 2022, from a fatal fall while hiking in Castlewood Canyon State Park, one of his favorite places to hike since he was a young boy.
Tyler was born September 12, 1982, to Karen Martinson (Bennett) and Dale Martinson at Mercy Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Ponderosa High School in 2001. He was on the varsity baseball and golf teams and was selected by the senior class to be a prom usher his junior year. As a kid, Tyler loved playing baseball, singing, anything outdoors, skateboarding, painting, drawing and writing stories.
Tyler met his fiancée, Marisha Brejwo, at a poker night on July 14, 2011, and they were engaged in December of 2019. Tyler was a self-employed carpenter and handyman, and he derived great satisfaction and pride from the completion of his many home painting, landscaping, and building projects. Tyler was the life of the party and never failed to make you laugh. He was hilarious and quick-witted. When he wasn’t working on his stand-up comedy routine or nature travel book, Tyler was golfing, snowboarding, camping, cooking, hiking and attending concerts with family and friends. He was passionate about the outdoors and mountains, good music and food, and he enjoyed watching and attending Denver Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets and Avs games.
Tyler will most importantly be remembered for his infectious laugh, his humor, his free spirit, his love of the outdoors, and his fierce love of family and friends. Tyler’s passing will leave a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Tyler is survived by his fiancée, Marisha Brejwo of Parker, Colorado; parents Karen (Tom) Bennett of Denver, Colorado, and Dale (Theresa) Martinson of Crystal River, Florida; brothers Matthew Martinson of Englewood, Colorado, Timothy Bennett of Denver, Colorado, and sister Rebecca (Tim) Baird of Waverly, Iowa; step-sisters Jessie (Sam) Ordonez of Castle Rock, Colorado and Jenny (Skyler) Styles of Arvada, Colorado; Debbie Blakesley, Marisha’s mom; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harley (Whitey) and Betty Andersen, and Clifford and Ella Mae Martinson.
