Sagrati, Suzanne Mary Bennett

Suzanne Mary Bennett Sagrati, born November 19, 1934, earned a well-deserved rest on February 1, 2022, lifted up by four generations: her ten children, many of their spouses and 24 grandchildren, and one of her 12 great grandchildren, in Denver, CO. Suzanne was the loving and devoted daughter of Florence M. and Glenn F. Bennett of Laceyville, PA. She married her college sweetheart, Alfred James Sagrati, of Kittanning, PA, son of Amos and Elizabeth Sagrati, on September 3, 1956. Together they embarked on an incredible 64-year adventure, raising ten children, living a selfless life of service, traveling the world, and enjoying life to its fullest. In her own right, Suzanne was a force of nature with remarkable creativity, curiosity, energy, generosity, intelligence, resourcefulness and wit. We all knew she was the funniest one in the family – the greatest honor a Sagrati can hold. She was stunningly beautiful, complex, and exceptionally rare. Suzanne, the daughter of revered teachers, was herself an educator and life-long learner, earning her master’s degree and PhD-ABD in Education. She was a lover of life and of people, especially her family. She never wanted to leave us or for us to leave her, always saying “See you soon” rather than "Good-bye."

Suzanne will be eternally celebrated by her children and grandchildren, Lisa Shannon (Daniel III: Daniel IV, Michael), Teresa Dieringer (Ed; Annika, Mari, Kati Bostwick), Alfred, Jr. (Sharon; Abigail, Sarah), Christina Baylis (Jessica, Allison Musekamp, Angela), Maria (Elizabeth and Erin Naugher, Anna Dyer), Felicia Harrison (Robert; Robert II, Anthony, Alex), Laura Sagrati Jones (Tommy; Nick and Julia Henkel), Joe (Carmen; Bennett, Elliott), Mike (Amy; Anthony, Sofia) and Tony (Jenny; Michael, Jake), and all those who loved her and benefitted from her presence.
