Rodney James Hernandez

It is with deep sorrow and much love and sadness that we announce the passing of Rodney James Hernandez of Denver, Colorado on September 18, 2022, at the age of 57. His family was by his side. 

Rodney will be lovingly remembered by his loving mother Patricia Sanchez, brother Adam, Annette Hernandez. Sister Andrea Sanchez. Sister, Tina Romero. His nephews are Adam Hernandez, Mark Tierney, Jeffrey Sanchez, Isaiah Jojola, Mario Fragoso, Ezekiel, and Isaiah Fragoso. His nieces are Brooke Hernandez, Brittany Fragoso, Courtney Jojola, Camryn~Jo and Jordyn Rivera, Audrina Fragoso. Who loved their uncle beyond words. He will be missed by numerous relatives and friends.  

He was predeceased by his loving father Joe Sanchez, brother Jeffrey Sanchez, brother Danny Rivera, nephews Jacob Sanchez and Daniel Rivera. Grandparents, Uncles, Aunt and numerous other family members and friends. 

Rodney was passionate about the great outdoors, sports, music, and family. Rodney enlisted into the Army at the age of 20. Being a native Coloradan, he went as far as Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. He came home and started working for the school district in our community for 17 years. He then went to live in Rapid City, South Dakota for 8 years.  

A memorial service with be on November 4, 2022. Starting at North Rock Church at 10:00 A.M. 10100 Grant Street. Thornton, Colorado 80229. Jason Martinez...Minster officiating. 

A small luncheon will be provided after the service at North Rock prior to the burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery. It will be promptly at 2:15 and it is a 20-minute ceremony. 4400 W. Kenyon Ave Denver Colorado 80236. The location will be TBD.  

The family wish to send many thanks to Jewish Medical ICU staff for their care and compassion. Thank you, North Rock Church, for all your help and support. Thank you to everyone who has sent us encouraging words, prayers, and support. Your kindness will not be forgotten. God Bless. The Sanchez/Hernandez family.
