Steven George Hoffman

On Tuesday December 28,2021 Steven George Hoffman of Denver, Colorado passed on peacefully to be with our Lord at the age of 78. Steve was born December 8, 1943 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania living his simple life in the "flats" until the devastating flood of 1955. The family then moved to Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Steve graduated from Stroudsburg Area High School.

When Steve was 18 years of age, he took a road trip to Denver, Colorado, "The High Country" to visit our cousins, Paul and Joan in Denver. Steve loved the area and decided to stay. Steve called Colorado his "second home" until his passing.

Steve was predeceased and husband of Shirley and Gareth. Grandparents, Jim and Olive Shiffer (Learn), Ted and Berneta Hoffman (Edinger) and his Parents, Walter and Lillian Hoffman (Shiffer).

Steve and first wife Shirley owned & operated a candle shop for several years. Steve talked about being a truck driver. He landed a job being a Concrete Mixer Driver until he had a stroke over 40 years later. He worked on the construction of the new Denver International Airport which begun in 1989 and was completed in 1995, 16 months behind schedule. Steve was proud of his accomplishment working many long hours until it's completion.

Steve was a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky guy to everyone who knew him. He is a very special friend to Shawn and his wife, Brandy, of Golden, Colorado and a long time forever friend to our family, Paula, who has been there in time of need throughout a 50-year span.
