Sharon Mae Stitt

 

Sharon was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado December 4, 1942 to Orval and Juanita Weesner.

She is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, Elden and Gordon.  She is survived by her husband David Stitt, one brother, Alvin Weesner, one sister, Norma Yoho, 4 children, Daron Stitt, Dayna Little, Adina Felten, Shawna Anderson, and by 8 grandchildren.  She passed on to be with the Lord, August 26, 2021.

Sharon grew up in Colorado Springs, then attended and graduated from Ozark Christian College in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  There she met and married her husband of 55 years, David Stitt on Nov. 26, 1965. 

From August 1968 to November 1982, she served with her husband doing missionary and evangelistic work in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.  From Nov. 1982 on she served as a minister’s wife and loving mother.  She was also an administrative assistant at Front Range Community College from 1985 to 2003.

She loved playing games, traveling, music, sewing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

 She inspired many with her faith, her smile, and love.
