Dorothy “Dot” Westerfield

Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Great Great Grandma

Dorothy was a native Coloradan born in Denver February 2, 1938; she passed away on July 12, 2021 in Thornton, CO.   Dorothy is preceded in Death by her Parents Charles and Irene Myers, Husband Robert , Daughter Jackie, Son-in-law Tim, Grandson Rocco, and Granddaughter Hope Alta. Dorothy is Survived by her Brother Dr. Donald Myers, oldest son Charles his wife Ravonna,  Daughter Charlene,  son Robert his wife Cindy,  son Thomas, 13 Grandchildren, and 27 Great Grand Children.

If they were to make a movie about Dot it would have to be a mini-series, and the title would be “How Did She Do It?”  With five kids every outing was an adventure, Chuck would be the first episode “Mission Impossible”.  Cookie would be the second week “Love of Animals” or “The Horse in Our Backyard”,   Jackie the third week “Live Life to the Fullest”, Bobby the fourth week “Are You Ever Going to Get Married”, Tommy the fifth week “The Final Push”, and the final episode “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

Mom loved her Grandchildren, and enjoyed watching them grow up and become parents.  Where ever Mom went she would talk about her grandchildren and then amaze everyone by talking about how many Great Grandchildren she had been blessed with. This year also saw the birth of her first Great Great Grandchild.

Dot was always willing to help out, from volunteering with the Westerniars, to her commitment to the VFW.  She enjoyed meeting others and was always ready to share a Story or offer her support.

We will miss everything about you; you will always live in each of us.

Dorothy’s Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday August 10, 2021 at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 9am in Staging area A.
