Anthony W. Richard, a business owner, a Colorado native and life long resident of  Denver CO, died suddenly on May 9th 2021, at the age of 68.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, William Richard and is survived by his  mother, Carolyn L. Richard; his wife, Iverta (Ivy) Richard; his son, Gerad Richard; his  brother, Bruce Richard (spouse Janet); his sister, Carla L. Becker (spouse Richard);  9 nephews, 3 nieces, 9 great nephews, and 4 great nieces.

Tony was born in Denver on November 17, 1952 to William and Carolyn Richard. He  graduated from Merritt Hutton H.S. in 1970 and continued his education to receive a JD degree from the University of Denver in 1976. He chose to practice his hobby of  wrenching on “MoPars” instead of practicing law. He always said, it was easier to fix  car problems instead of trying to fix people problems.

In November 1986, Tony and Iverta went on a Caribbean cruise and were married in St.  Thomas V.I. In May of 1992, they welcomed their only son, Gerad and as a family,  continued to run the all MoPar shop which Tony founded in the 70’s while attending  college and law school.

He was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years  including fishing, boating, camping, model train building, car shows, and racing at  Bandimere Speedway with his wife and son.

The uniqueness of the MoPar hot rod and specialty shop has developed a loyal  following over the past 45 years and will remain a very special place in the hearts of  MoPar loyalists for many years to come.

A celebration of life is planned at Bandimere on June 8that 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to https://www.forneymuseum.org/ or the Race to Read program at Bandimere in Tony’s name.
