Ausma “Micky” Wade

Ausma “Micky” Wade, of Thornton, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2021, at the age of 87 years.

She and her family were natives of Latvia.  They traveled across the Atlantic to the Port of New Orleans in 1951.  The Anholtz family sponsored them through the World Lutheran Church.  The family migrated to a farm in Nunn, CO, where her father worked on the farm, her mother cooked and cleaned for the family.  Ausma worked at a nursing home in Greeley for a couple of months then moved to Denver, CO where she got a job as a nurses aid at Mercy Hospital, then became a Respiratory Therapist where she retired in 1995.  She loved to garden, pickle, crochet, sew.  Her favorite vacation spot with her family was Lake McConaughy.

Proceeded in death by her parents Marts and Vera Vitols, and 2 sons Richard and David Wade.  She is survived by her two daughters Barbara Sisneros of Thornton, Dinah Davis of Peetz, CO, sister Asja Gellner of Northglenn and brother Arvids (Gloria) Vitols of Aurora.  Three grandchildren Amy Sisneros of Hawthorne, FL, Michael (Natalie) Sisneros of Thornton and Lance Bryan of Littleton

9 great-grandchildren Anthony (Lori) Sisneros, Marcos (Evelyn) Sisneros, Rito Sisneros, Julian Sisneros, Sophia Sisneros, Belle Sisneros, Jeff Jenson, Aaron Bryan, and Nathan Bryan.

7 great-great grandchildren Joseph Sisneros, Anthony Sisneros, Elizabeth Sisneros, Isabella Sisneros, Alejandro Sisneros, Marcos Sisneros and Madison Sisneros.   Survived by several nephews and their families.

There will be no service, but a Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the spring.
