It is with great sadness that the family of Nanci Jane Schumacher Watkins announces her passing after her battle with cancer, on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, at the age of 70 years.  Nanci will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Bill Watkins of 20 years, and her children, Tomas and Jacob. Nanci will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Dustin, Aly, Malcom, Brogan, Pierce, Hudson and Anderson.  Survived by her sisters and brother, Rita, Tom, Jo, Carol, Patty, Judy, and Kay Kay.  Nanci was predeceased by her brother Terry Schumacher.

She had a heart of gold and love for all she came across.  She always opened her door to anyone in need.  Over her lifetime, she helped so many people find their path to sobriety and a healthier road in life.  She had a way of making you feel accepted regardless of what you had done.  Nanci had a way of becoming friends for life with others anywhere she went. She never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to her, was just a friend she hadn’t met yet. She always saw the good in people. Sometimes, that’s all she would see, even if no one else could see it.  It’s why we all loved her so much.

We hope our past ancestors have welcomed her home with open arms.

A Memorial Service in memory of Nanci for the immediate family only, will be held on Dec 4th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., at the Watkins Home in Frederick CO.  For those out of state we will have a zoom call for the memorial. Her ashes will be spread in places she loved to be present at.  Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Nanci, please choose your favorite charity and feel good helping others out.  We know she loved helping others always and forever.

RIP Nanci…you lived, you loved, and you were loved tremendously.  We miss you so much.
