Margaret Colleen Foston

Margaret Colleen Foston age 55 passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Colleen was born on February 20, 1966, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the parents of Clyde L. Foston and Georgia M. Foston. Colleen was the fourth child of seven siblings.

Colleen is preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Mae Foston (Brown) and sister, Jackie Foston.

Colleen is  survived by her life partner, Cindy Poehler and her children John, Isaac, Cassondra, Felicia, Sadie and grandchildren Bjorn, Orion, Ma’Layah, KaLijah, Journey and Roland; father Clyde L. Foston;  sister  JoAnn Frye (Foston) and her son Jared (nephew);  brother John Foston and his children Jonathan and Ashley (nephew and niece);  brother Gary Foston and wife Ulricah and their sons Jeremiah and Joshua (nephews); Libby Hale (Foston) and husband Kenneth Hale and their sons Kenneth (father of  Khamdin and Khardin), Jordan (father of Jordan King and LaRaya Queen) and Isaiah (nephews); and brother Clyde W. Foston, wife Estela, and his children Lineauh and Dehaven (niece and nephew).

She also leaves many friends to cherish her memories.

Colleen was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and friend. Colleen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her Dad. She loved to cook and serve her favorite meals to family and friends.  Colleen would often spend time hanging out and helping our father with the upkeep of the church landscape.  Colleen was one lucky lady (perhaps her baseball cap that she loved to wear played a part) and often found treasures that others overlooked all the time.  She had an eye for spotting a treasure that others didn’t seem to notice. I considered her a good luck charm in her own special way.  Colleen was outspoken, direct, witty and funny.  She enjoyed a good laugh, and she loved her family and friends deeply. 

She will be missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of life will be at 11:00 AM at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church 1201 Arno S.E Albuquerque NM 87102 US Friday Nov 26th 2021.
