Joseph Clifford Lindsey

On Monday, January 4, 2021, Joseph Clifford Lindsey, loving husband and father of two children, and three step children passed away at age 87.

He was born on May 31, 1933 to George C. Lindsey and Pearlie Mae Caldwell Lindsey in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.  He graduated Wynnewood High School in 1951, and joined the United States Army in 1953.  Where he fought proudly for his country in the Korean and Vietnam War.  He served for over 20 years, and retired from the Army in 1973.  He was formerly married to Ruth Fricke of Bismarck, North Dakota, and from that marriage had two children.  His daughter, Corrine Lindsey Small,  which was a daddy’s girl, and his son, Keith Lindsey.  Upon retiring from the military, he married his high school sweetheart, Ada Kinard.  From this marriage came three step children, Michael Lail, Karen Barker and Kimberlee Bautista.

He is survived by his wife, two children and three step children, one brother and wife, Jim and Kathy Lindsey of Harrisburg, IL., and three sisters and husbands, Mary Colson of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Betty and Dwayne Boydston of Wayne, Oklahoma, and Margaret and Curtis Winchester of Maysville, Oklahoma.
