IN MEMORY OF OUR BELOVED PAUL E. THULLEN
Paul E. Thullen, age 67, was welcomed to his eternal reward in heaven on May 9, 2020 and is now in the presence of his precious Lord and Savior Jesus. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 42 years Sharla, devoted daughter Laura (Mike) of Arvada, grandson Jaxon (his fishing buddy), sister Patty (Ralph) Pike, and brother Phillip, and faithful canine companion Sienna, Paul's parents both passed away in 2009. Paul was a long-standing active member of the Avenue Church (formerly Temple Baptist) all his life, serving in numerous capacities, Paul was born in Pueblo, graduated from South High School, and joined the Air Force in the dental field where he met Sharla at Bergstrom AFB in Austin, TX. After a 10 year absence from the active Air Force, he joined the AF Reserves in the 302nd at Peterson AFB with the Civil Engineers. He retired with over 32 years of combined service. Paul owned and operated Trim Way Lawn Service for over 22 years until his health began to fail. In August 2009 he required a lung transplant at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora. Paul loved to work with wood and metal as a hobby but his biggest love was to travel. He visited well over 40 countries, all 50 United States and 6 of the 7 continents. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 8 @ 11am at the Avenue Church at 3030 Thatcher Avenue, Pueblo, Colorado. It will also be livestreamed at avenuepueblo.org.
