Winfield Scott Smyth Jr.

September 22, 1956 - April 25, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Winfield Scott Smyth Jr., better known as Scott, make the announcement of his passing on April 25th, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado.

Scott was born September 22, 1956 to Winfield Scott Smyth (Wink) and Candace Palmer Vaughn.

Scott leaves behind his wife Nada, his children; Amanda, Arna and Andrew, his grandchildren; Brandon, Eriq, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Walter Alexander and Zoe and his siblings; Hilary, Andrew and Theodore, many nieces and nephews;  and his dearest friend Raymond.

Scott graduated class of 1975 from Kearsarge Regional High School in Sutton, New Hampshire. He was veteran and served in the United States Army from March 1979 to March 1983. In June of 1983 Scott married his beautiful wife Nada. Scott, his wife and children moved across the country from Bradford, New Hampshire to Aurora, Colorado in January 1989.

Scott enjoyed many things, some of which were; long motorcycle rides through the mountains, a nice quiet fishing spot, great music and a good BBQ in the backyard with his family while drinking an ice cold beer. Scott was very good with his hands. He was always tinkering with, building, painting or fixing something.

Throughout his life Scott wore many hats that held different titles and roles; student, soldier, mechanic, roofer, carpenter and biker. The most important titles and roles were; son, brother, husband, father, uncle and his favorite role of all PAPA.

While Scott spent the last 30 years in Colorado, he missed and often talked about his return to New Hampshire. Scott and his children will make his final trip back to Bradford where his soul will ride free in the wind.
